The route starts from Vilnius in Lithuania and connects all three Baltic capitals. With 85 kilometers run each day, the total will be 678. This is a symbolic commemoration of the Baltic Way - people joining hands to link Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia in a living chain and demonstrate to the world the Baltic determination to regain their independence and leave the Soviet Union.
