Night transport has not been running in Rīga since March 2020, when the transport timetables were changed and night services were cancelled due to the pandemic.
Reinis Zirnis, a 12th-grade student at Āgenskalns State Gymnasium, first created an initiative for the restoration of night transport as part of his studies and then decided to take it outside the school walls and put it into practice.
