Unemployment rate for women fell by 0.2 percentage points to 5.5 % and for men by 0.3 percentage points to 8.6 %.
In March, there were 65.6 thousand unemployed persons in Latvia, which is 1.9 thousand fewer than a month ago and 3.3 thousand fewer than a year ago. Over the month, the number of unemployed men declined by 1.2 thousand, reaching 39.7 thousand, and the number of unemployed women reduced by 0.7 thousand, reaching 25.9 thousand.
