Approximately 50,000 people took the Category B or light vehicle driving test at the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) between May last year and May this year.
Of these, 33% or one in three passed the exam on their first attempt. On the second attempt, 36% were successful, while on the third attempt, 33% passed. Some drivers have only passed the CSDD exam after seven attempts.
