
Annual inflation in Latvia remained unchanged at 4.1% for the second month in a row and is almost 2 percentage points higher than inflation in the euro area, said Kārlis Purgailis, economist at Citadele.
"As usual lately, the biggest impact on the average consumer price level in Latvia has been on food and non-alcoholic beverages, mainly coffee, poultry meat, chocolate, eggs, butter, dried, salted or smoked meat," the economist noted.
