Olympic champion and all-time top scorer of Moscow's Spartak, Nikita Simonyan, passed away at the age of 99

Together with the red-and-whites, Nikita Simonyan became the champion of the USSR four times as a player, and twice as the head coach of the team. In his coaching career, in addition to Spartak, Simonyan led Yerevan's Ararat to the championship title, headed the USSR national team, and managed Odessa's Chornomorets. Additionally, he was a winner of the 1956 Summer Olympics as part of the USSR national team.
