Ukrainian scammers deceive not only Latvians but also Ukrainians themselves, and quite ruthlessly

People are losing tens and hundreds of thousands of hryvnias, which they pay supposedly for "organizing calls", "delivering packages", "enrollment in lists", and so on, writes [Korrespondent](https://korrespondent.net/ukraine/4844417-v-koordshtabe-predupredyly-o-novykh-moshennycheskykh-skhemakh-kasauischykhsia-plennykh). Scammers are coming up with new schemes to swindle money from the families of servicemen who have been captured, particularly by imposing legal services. This is stated in the message from the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War. People are promised, in particular, a change of status from "missing in action" to "captured". "Although all statuses provide for the same payments, participation in the search and return. Such and similar costly legal 'services' are often unnecessary. Do not waste your money in vain," the message states. > The Coordination Headquarters emphasized that no "good acquaintances" who allegedly have connections to the Security and Defense Forces, even those recommended in family groups or by "acquaintances who were in captivity", have any influence or authority to help. "Usually, scammers approach you under their guise. Families lose tens and hundreds of thousands of hryvnias, which they pay supposedly for 'organizing calls', 'delivering packages', 'enrollment in lists', etc.," the Coordination Headquarters explained. It is noted that only the Coordination Headquarters has complete information and provides all necessary services completely free of charge: legal, consulting, and psychological assistance.
