More than 50 cents per kilowatt-hour: electricity prices will sharply rise in Latvia on Monday

The most expensive electricity will be during lunchtime, from 13:00 to 13:15, when the price will reach 505.06 EUR per megawatt-hour (0.51 cents per kilowatt-hour). The cheapest time to consume electricity will be early in the morning, from 05:00 to 05:15, when the cost of a megawatt-hour will be 93.01 euros. In Estonia and Lithuania, the price on Monday will be identical to the Estonian price. In Finland, however, electricity will be significantly cheaper: the average price in the northern neighbors will be 160.49 euros, which is 33.5% lower than in the Baltic countries. It should be noted that for most residents of Latvia, fluctuations in exchange prices are of no practical significance, as they have contracts with fixed rates.
