Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks reveals information about late payment interest rates

This decision has been made to support residents who may face difficulties in paying utility bills due to rising heating costs during severe frosts. "Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks" services approximately one-third of the apartment buildings in Riga. The vice-mayor of the capital, Edvards Ratnieks, has called on other management companies to join this initiative. The accrual of late payment interest will be suspended for all services of "Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks" starting from the bills that customers will receive at the beginning of February. The eased conditions are planned to be applied until May. As noted by "Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks", the overall payment discipline of clients is quite high, so it is important for the company to support them in a situation of short-term rising expenses. "Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks" is owned by the Riga City Council. The company's turnover in 2024 amounted to 80.569 million euros, with a profit of 9 million euros. The company employs about 2000 people and manages nearly 3000 residential buildings. As reported, the cancellation of late payment interest was also announced earlier by the companies JSC "Rīgas siltums" and LLC "Rīgas ūdens".
