Major Drawbacks of OLED TVs Listed

Journalists from BGR reported on the drawbacks associated with purchasing and owning an OLED TV. The material was published on the media's website. The authors explained that OLED TVs have become popular because they can provide the display of true black color and the highest contrast. However, such devices have drawbacks that specialists listed. First and foremost, they noted that the pixels in OLED TVs can burn out. Special attention should be paid to the matrix when purchasing a used device. The journalists also pointed out that TVs with OLED matrices usually cost significantly more than models with LED screens. Often, the prices of devices can differ by several times. Additionally, the authors described the process of transporting such a gadget as a "logistical nightmare": "OLED panels are extremely thin and fragile, so even a small mistake, such as a strong impact against a door frame or pressure from a seatbelt, can lead to damage." At the same time, according to the authors of BGR, OLED models significantly outperform regular TVs in quality—even if it is a five-year-old device.
