The Public Utilities Commission (PUC) calculated how electricity prices for households have changed

The calculated average weighted electricity price in the fourth quarter of 2025 for households was 118.4 euros per megawatt-hour (MWh), while for legal entities it was 103.68 euros per MWh. The commission noted that the electricity charge consists of its price, which depends on the tariffs of the chosen supplier, and the tariff for system services and value-added tax. The spot electricity price on the "Nord Pool" exchange increased in October and November of last year. The rise was due to colder weather and the limitation of cheaper imported electricity availability due to increased demand in the region. In December of last year, thanks to increased generation from wind power plants and reduced consumption during the holiday period, electricity prices decreased.
