As of January, there were 16,138 people classified as low-income. This is 20.3% less than in January 2025. In 2026, the income threshold for the first or only person in a household will be 425 euros, and for other household members, it will be 298 euros. Each municipality has the right to set the income threshold for low-income households at 80% of the median income, but not lower than the income threshold for needy households. The maximum income threshold for low-income households in 2026 will be 680 euros for the first or only person in the household and 476 euros for other household members.
