Previously, this ban applied to students in schools up to and including the 6th grade. The ban will come into effect on June 1, 2026, when the current school year will have already ended. Amendments prohibiting the use of mobile phones in schools up to the 6th grade, unless necessary for mastering the educational program, were adopted in 2024.
