The Nuclear Power Plant in Iran Came Under Fire

The territory of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in Iran came under fire, reported the Atomic Energy Organization of the Republic of Iran (AEOI). According to them, on the morning of April 4, a shell hit the fence near the plant's territory. A security guard was killed in the attack. As a result of the explosion, one of the auxiliary buildings of the nuclear power plant was damaged. The main buildings of the facility were not harmed, the organization added. According to them, this is already the fourth attack on the power plant during the war between the U.S. and Israel and Iran. They reminded that the nuclear power plant is operational, and any serious damage could lead to a major nuclear accident. On March 30, the Iranian Foreign Ministry assured that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in the south of the country is functioning despite the shelling.
