It turns out that Sweeney filmed a three-minute scene that was supposed to be shown at the very beginning of the film. In the storyline, she played herself — a star client of the fashion house Dior, who is helped by Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt ("A Quiet Place"), to choose an outfit. According to insiders, the decision to cut the scene was a "purely creative decision." The film's crew was very grateful to Sydney for her participation, and the decision to cut this segment was not easy for them. The scene simply did not fit into the overall sequence. The sequel's plot revolves around Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway ("Interstellar"), trying to save Runway magazine from collapse in the modern media market. To do this, she has to reunite with Miranda Priestly and Nigel, played by Meryl Streep ("Big Little Lies") and Stanley Tucci ("The Conclave"), respectively. However, the film will still feature some notable cameos. For example, Lady Gaga not only starred in the film but also recorded the title track called Runway for it. Actors from the original 2006 cast — Tracy Thoms ("Death Proof") and Tibor Feldman ("The Sopranos") — also returned to their roles. The world premiere of "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is scheduled for April 29.
