According to meteorologists' forecasts, the next four weekends will be the warmest in the last seven months. On May 1, it will generally be sunny and dry: during the day, temperatures will range from +10 on the coast to +20 in the west of the country. On Saturday, temperatures will rise to +18…+23 degrees (cooler by the sea), and the day is expected to be sunny but with a more noticeable wind. On Sunday, it will get even warmer — up to +24, however, there will be brief showers in some areas, with possible thunderstorms and gusts of wind. On Latvia's Independence Restoration Day, the weather will remain warm: in some regions, temperatures will reach +25 degrees, but there will be clouds, rain, and thunderstorms. At the beginning of next week, temperatures will start to drop again, and by the end of the week, there may even be night frosts. Precipitation during these days will partially alleviate the drought, but not everywhere — in some areas, it may persist or even intensify.
