On Saturday, May 2, the average electricity price in the Estonian price zone of the Nord Pool exchange will drop by 61.4% compared to Friday, reaching 5.48 euros per megawatt-hour. What makes this day exceptional is the period of negative prices, which will last for more than four hours. The lowest electricity price will occur from 14:45 to 15:00, when it will be minus 2.27 euros per megawatt-hour. The price peak will be in the evening from 20:45 to 21:00, when the cost of electricity will reach 19.33 euros. In Latvia, on average, electricity will be even cheaper on this day — 5.07 euros per megawatt-hour, reports Baltic News Service.
