The factory built on the premises of the dairy processing company "Baltic Dairy Board" is the largest investment project in the history of the group, proudly announced "Vilvi Group". The new factory will create more than 100 jobs, and specialists are being sought not only from Bauska or Riga but also from the border regions of Lithuania - Pasvalys, Joniskis, and Šiauliai. The factory plans to process 500 tons of milk and produce 50 tons of cheese per day. The planned production volume will be 18,000 tons of cheese per year - they will be exported to more than 40 countries worldwide. The total cost of the project exceeds 60 million euros, with about one-fifth financed by the Latvian government, and 43.6 million euros provided as a loan by "Citadele" bank. "Vilvi Group" includes the companies "Vilkyskiu pienine", "Modest", "Kelmes pieninė", "Kelmes pienas", "Pieno logistika", "Marijampolės pieno konservai", and the Latvian "Baltic Dairy Board". By the way, the CEO and chairman of the board of Vilkyškių pieninė, Gintaras Bertasius, has been working at the company since 1993. He owns 50.8% of the company's shares.
