Во Франции запускают новый культурный проект — единый «Паспорт наследия»

A new subscription costing around 100 euros will officially come into effect on September 19–20 during the European Heritage Days. Passport holders will be able to visit museums, palaces, castles, gardens, and other attractions for free, including the famous Palace of Versailles, Château de Chambord, Château de Chantilly, as well as lesser-known historical and cultural monuments. The "Heritage Passport" can be obtained by registering for an annual membership with the Heritage Foundation. The initiative's authors intend for the program to make the country's cultural heritage more accessible to a wider audience while also providing additional financial support to the sites participating in the project. Although similar subscriptions have long been available for museums in Paris, a unified system covering the entire territory of France is being implemented for the first time. Authorities hope that the new format will help not only attract more visitors but also distribute tourist flows more evenly between popular and lesser-known attractions. Founded in 1996, the Heritage Foundation has participated in the preservation and restoration of more than 46,000 historical sites over the years. Now, the organization hopes that the new subscription will draw additional attention to these sites from both French citizens and foreign tourists.
