Латвийский нападающий Эдуард Тралмакс

NHL club Edmonton Oilers has signed a one-year two-way contract with Latvian forward Eduards Tralmaks. According to the terms of the agreement, the hockey player's salary will be $850,000 if he plays in the NHL. Before signing the new contract, Tralmaks was a free agent after ending his collaboration with the Detroit Red Wings system. Last season, the Latvian was called up from the farm team several times, but he did not manage to make his NHL debut. He spent the majority of the season with the AHL club Grand Rapids Griffins, where he played 64 games, scored 26 goals, provided 16 assists, and finished the regular season with a +29 plus/minus rating. Despite not debuting in the NHL, Tralmaks's performance allowed him to maintain interest from teams in the strongest league in the world. If he had not been able to secure a new contract in North America, the player was expected to return to the Czech league. It was there that Tralmaks had one of the best seasons of his career. Playing for Rytíři Kladno, he accumulated 51 points (23 goals and 28 assists) in 48 regular season games and became the top scorer in the Czech Extraliga. Previously, the Latvian forward was also part of the Boston Bruins system, playing for the Providence Bruins. In total, he played 87 regular season games in the AHL, scoring 41 points. Before starting his professional career in North America, Tralmaks played four seasons in the NCAA for the University of Maine and earlier played in junior leagues in the USA. Now the Latvian forward will have a new opportunity to compete for a spot on the Edmonton Oilers roster and make his NHL debut in an official game.
