Observing brown bears has become one of the most unusual tourist attractions in Estonia. In the Alutaguse region, bear watching tours attract not only locals but also travelers from other European countries. Traveler Andris Rubins shared his impressions after such a trip. > "Great respect to the Estonians! According to Rubins, his group was lucky to see six animals at once. The tours take place from specially equipped hides that allow for safe observation of the animals without disturbing them or interfering with their natural behavior. The Alutaguse region is considered one of the best places in Estonia for observing brown bears. Thanks to the combination of forested areas and developed tourist infrastructure, wildlife enthusiasts and photographers from different countries come here every year.
