Reuters, citing Kentucky Sports Radio, reported that Kreiza was linked to a multi-million dollar fraudulent scheme, the origins of which date back to his time playing for West Virginia University in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), according to ERR Sport. According to the publication, 25-year-old Kreiza will be handed over to the authorities of West Virginia and is expected to appear in court next week. Details of the charges have not yet been disclosed. According to Kentucky Sports Radio, Kreiza is allegedly connected to a fraud scheme worth several million dollars. "The arrest of the 25-year-old Estonian is related to a multi-million dollar fraud scheme that is connected to the period when he played for the West Virginia Mountaineers during the 2023–2024 season. He will be extradited to West Virginia, and a court hearing is scheduled for next week," wrote Kentucky Sports Radio journalist Jack Pilgrim on Saturday. In the concluded season in Cincinnati, Kreiza played in 19 games. According to information circulating on social media, Kreiza is suspected of conspiracy to commit fraud, fraud, receiving bribes in sports, as well as aiding and abetting a crime or inciting it.
