After the changes, bus No. 18 will become a feeder route to the transport hub **‘Kengarags’**. It will run daily at intervals of **12–15 minutes** instead of the current **35–45 minutes on weekdays** and **60 minutes on weekends**. At the transport hub ‘Kengarags’, passengers will be able to transfer to trams and trolleybuses, which will depart towards the city center every **2–5 minutes** on weekdays. Additionally, passengers will be able to transfer to bus routes heading towards **Purvciems, Mežciems, Jugla, and Sarkandaugava**. Starting in September, some trips of bus No. 18 will be extended to **Prušu** and **Latgales** streets, making it easier for schoolchildren to reach educational institutions in Kengarags and return home. In the Dārziņi neighborhood, the route will be organized in a circular manner — clockwise. This will ensure even intervals of movement throughout the area and maintain public transport accessibility at the same level. As a result, passengers will no longer have to adjust their schedules so meticulously: in many cases, they will be able to leave for the stop almost **30 minutes later** than now and still arrive at their destination around the desired time. Due to these changes, the current bus route **No. 15** will receive a new number — **45**. This decision was made to avoid confusion between bus No. 15 and trolleybus No. 15 at the transport hub ‘Kengarags’. In the future, bus **No. 45** will operate **from Jugla to the transport hub ‘Kengarags’**.
