The Council of the Society Integration Foundation (SIF) approved 24 applications for project implementation under the media support program "Support for Strengthening the Potential of Regional Print Media Publishers," reported SIF representative Iveta Kanzena. The total funding for the program amounts to €292,920. Funding of up to €12,205 was available for the implementation of a single project. Registered publishers of regional print media in Latvia that publish newspapers in Latvian at least once a week were eligible to participate in the competition. Publications in other languages were not allowed to participate. And now we ask artificial intelligence, what is the Society Integration Foundation in Latvia (Sabiedrības integrācijas fonds — SIF)? Here is a concise answer — "it is a state institution that implements the policy of social cohesion. It distributes state funding and grants to support various community and social projects." It turns out that the cohesion of Latvian society has become urgent, as they are addressing exclusively the titular nation. Could it be that Latvians have stopped understanding each other in their own country? Or do they need to be kept in Latvia so that they do not integrate into Ireland? Or, let’s assume that the residents of Kurzeme are blaming the residents of Vidzeme and it is vital to unite these two regions of the country? There are many questions for the Society Integration Foundation in Latvia... According to the editorial board of bb.lv, it would be very good if this organization provided an explanation to the main question: who and where are you going to integrate for 300 thousand euros now?
