40-year-old actress Ekaterina Shpitsa shared with her fans an important event in her family's life — the baptism of her youngest son. In her personal blog, she published touching photos from the church, featuring her with the newborn Bohdan and her closest loved ones. Ekaterina Shpitsa and her husband Ruslan Panov became parents in early May. The couple welcomed their long-awaited son, whom they named Bohdan.   _Photo from social media._ Almost immediately after the baby turned 40 days old, the parents baptized him. > "The sacrament of baptism is a most radiant rite! We baptized Bohdan almost as soon as he turned 40 days old," the actress wrote.  _Photo from social media._ Family members and friends attended the ceremony. Among the guests was Shpitsa's 14-year-old son German, born from the actress's first marriage to stuntman Konstantin Adaev. The boy's godparents are close friends of the family. > "We are very happy that you are now part of our family and will share with us the upbringing of our son," Ekaterina noted. The actress also explained that the name Bohdan is not found in the Orthodox saints. Its church equivalent is the name Theodotus. However, during the baptism, the boy received the name Georgiy, as he was born on the feast day of Saint George the Victorious. "Son, we wish you to always overcome evil, to be strong and honest," Shpitsa addressed the baby. Fans congratulated the family on this important event and wished little Georgiy-Bohdan health, happiness, and well-being.
