Currently, the unified ticket is only valid in railway zone A, but starting from July 24, it will be usable in all five zones of the Vivi trains — A, B, C, D, and E. This will allow a significantly larger number of passengers to conveniently transfer between the train and public transport in Riga. As reported to the LETA agency by the External Communications Department of the Riga City Council, the changes align with the capital's development plans and aim to improve transport connections between Riga and its suburbs, as well as to create a unified fare payment system. The unified ticket also helps reduce travel costs when using two types of transport simultaneously. For example, when traveling within zone A, a passenger can save 1 euro. The ticket includes: - one trip on a Vivi train along the chosen route; - one ticket valid for 90 minutes for travel on buses, trolleybuses, and trams of Rīgas satiksme. The ticket price for zone A will remain the same — 2 euros. For the other zones, the price will range from 2.80 to 4.30 euros depending on the distance of the trip. On certain diesel train routes, depending on the route and type of train, an additional fee will be charged according to Vivi's tariffs. The unified ticket can only be purchased in digital format — on the Vivi website or in the Vivi Latvija mobile app. It will not be sold at railway ticket offices or by conductors. The pilot project for the unified ticket started in July 2025. Over the past year, more than 15,000 passengers have used it, and in the first half of 2026, the number of users has already exceeded 10,000, indicating the growing popularity of this solution.
