Gatis, a nearby resident who was just a couple hundred meters away at the time, captured the moment when the wind turbine blade, weighing several metric tons, began to break and fall.
“There was a noise – more like thunder. I turned around and saw that the blade was just starting to break, so I immediately grabbed my camera and started filming. It fell right there on their property, on the construction site,” said Gatis, an eyewitness to the incident.
