This year, the exhibition will focus on the historical connections, contemporary art scene, and current creative trends of three European capitals — Vilnius, Warsaw, and Vienna. The program of exhibitions and discussions will highlight both the shared experiences and the diverse artistic perspectives that are currently shaping the region. In addition to gallery exhibitions, visitors will be able to attend the international sculpture exhibition 'Path', the curated exhibition 'Project Zone', engage with artists, and participate in educational events, as well as visit the 'Young Collectors' Stand', which will introduce a new audience to the collection of artworks. A total of galleries and artists from more than 20 countries will participate in the exhibition. This year, the ISSP gallery and the artistic duo 'MareunRol's', who also represent Latvia at the Venice Biennale, will return to the exhibition program. The art galleries 'Bazar't' and 'Agija Sūna Art Gallery' will continue their participation, while the gallery 'TUR' with artist Andris Kalniņš will join the 'ArtVilnius' project for the first time. Iveta Gabalina, director and co-founder of the ISSP gallery, notes that the Latvian and Lithuanian art communities are 'surprisingly close yet strangely distant from each other.' According to her, the two countries have much in common in history, and many artists know each other personally, but the border is still crossed less frequently than it should be. Sonata Baliuckaite, artistic director of ArtVilnius'26, emphasizes that ArtVilnius is not just a platform for artists and galleries to showcase their work. She highlights that participation in the exhibition opens up opportunities to be noticed by international curators, collectors, and cultural institutions.
