The exhibition was prepared by phlox breeder and collector Tatjana Kočāne from Rūgai. Her garden cultivates about 400 varieties, of which she has developed 60 herself. The exhibition will feature phloxes of various shades, shapes, and sizes. Among the new varieties is 'Saint Anna', created in 2025, as well as 'Northern Maiden' (Ziemeļmeita), bred in 2022. Last year, this variety took second place in the visitors' voting for the most beautiful phlox of the exhibition. The exhibition also includes floral compositions and phloxes bred by the renowned Latvian breeder Guna Rukšāne. During the exhibition, visitors will be able to receive advice on growing phloxes, ask questions to the breeder, and participate in the traditional voting for the most beautiful flower. The exhibition will open on July 23 at 12:00 in the exhibition hall on the second floor of the Latvian National Museum of Nature. The exhibition will be open on July 23 from 12:00 to 17:00, and on July 24, 25, and 26 from 10:00 to 17:00.
