Syrsky published his statement on the Militarnyi portal after reports emerged in Ukrainian and foreign media about his possible conflict with Mykhailo Fedorov and even about the potential resignation of the Commander-in-Chief himself. According to Syrsky, he was surprised to learn from publications about the alleged confrontation. He characterized his relationship with the former minister as professional, noting that there were indeed complex issues and differing views between them. “If I have offended anyone, Mykhailo, I apologize. I can be tough,” said the Commander-in-Chief, adding that the main focus now should be on achieving Ukraine's victory rather than personal disagreements. Syrsky also rejected claims that he had issued ultimatums to the country's leadership or attempted to manage the army through messaging apps. Furthermore, he called false the accusations that he was against the widespread use of drones. According to him, it was under his leadership that the Drone Forces were established. The Commander-in-Chief also addressed the issue of army funding. He stated that part of the funds intended for personnel payments had been directed towards the purchase of drones. According to Syrsky, this was the reason for the problems with the financial support of the personnel, and now the authorities are looking for ways to ensure timely payments. Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied reports of Syrsky's possible imminent resignation, calling such publications unreliable. However, the topic of personnel changes in the military leadership continues to be actively discussed following Mykhailo Fedorov's dismissal from the post of Minister of Defense and the subsequent protests.
