On Tuesday, the government approved a draft order prepared by the State Chancellery for the allocation of funds from the "Contingency Funds" program. The money will be directed to payments for officials who lost their positions as a result of the change of government, when Andris Kulbergs became Prime Minister instead of Evika Silina. Of the total amount, the State Chancellery will receive €208,525. The Ministry of Defense will be allocated €52,262, the Ministry of Smart Governance and Regional Development will receive €30,084, the Ministry of Culture will get €38,123, the Ministry of Transport will be allocated €35,469, the Ministry of Climate and Energy will receive €49,293, the Ministry of Justice will get €42,726, and the Ministry of Education and Science will receive €52,923. It should be noted that on May 14, the then-Prime Minister Evika Silina announced her resignation after disagreements with coalition partners.
