The municipal police of the Ropaži region were informed of the situation and arrived at the scene. Initially, four people were spotted in the forest, but during the inspection, it was found that there were two more in the tent. "During the inspection, four people were seen sitting in the forest. A tent was set up, firewood was prepared, and a camp was arranged, which created the impression that the people planned to stay here for a long time," said Dace Salnā, head of the communication and marketing department of the Ropaži municipality. Upon checking the individuals, it was established that all six men had left the asylum seekers' accommodation center in Alūksne.
