VCA increased its stake in the capital of LJMC from 32.93% to 82.93%. Lithuanian citizen Adomas Navickas owns another 6.85%, while the Swiss-registered company "SIX SIS" holds 3.65% of the shares. LETA agency has already reported that in mid-July this year, the Competition Council allowed VCA to gain decisive influence over LJMC. The goal of the transaction is to strengthen the medical and infrastructure potential of both enterprises to provide patients with more accessible and modern healthcare services in the long term. At the beginning of this year, the largest shareholders of LJMC were Ilze Birka (17.5%), Martins Birks (17.5%), Janis Birks (12.8%), Guna Schwarzberga (10.36%), LLC "POM" (8.82%), and Navickas (6.85%). Last year, LJMC's turnover amounted to 10.288 million euros, which is 1% more than in 2024, and the company's profit increased by 30.2% to 240,996 euros. In 2024, VCA operated with a turnover of 64.787 million euros, which is 8.8% more than in 2023, and the company's profit grew by 5.9% to 9.497 million euros. Financial data for 2025 has not yet been published. The company was registered in 2011, and its authorized capital is 25,000 euros. VCA is part of the group of JSC "Repharm", which also includes JSC "Sentor Farm aptiekas", managing the pharmacy chain "Mēness aptiekas", LLC "Centrālā laboratorija", JSC "Recipe Plus", and other enterprises. The parent company of the "Repharm" group, JSC "AB City" (88.51%), also owns the pharmaceutical manufacturer JSC "Olpha", which in turn owns JSC "Rīgas farmaceitiskā fabrika", LLC "Tonus Elast", LLC "Silvanols", and other enterprises.
