Пчелы - наше все!

As reported to LETA by the municipality, the goal of the project is to diversify the tourism offer of Latvia and Lithuania by promoting beekeeping, traditional crafts, beekeeping products, and their applications. As part of the project, it is planned to restore the beekeeper's cottage at the Seaside Open-Air Museum in Ventspils and create a new exhibition "The Hardworking Bee," dedicated to the work of beekeepers and the process of honey production. The exhibition will be complemented by a new museum educational program, and demonstration hives will be installed on the museum grounds. A loan from the State Treasury is planned to be arranged for a period of 10 years to ensure the necessary funds for the implementation of the project. Project funding will also be provided from the European Regional Development Fund. The total cost of the project is 165,799 euros, of which 149,219 euros, or 90% of eligible expenses, will be covered by attracted European funding.
