Polish authorities believe that the object discovered after a nighttime explosion in the east of the country is most likely a Russian X-101 cruise missile. This was stated by Prime Minister Donald Tusk after an emergency meeting. According to him, all available data points to this type of missile, but specialists continue the investigation to definitively establish the origin of the object and confirm who launched it. The object fell in an uninhabited area south of Lublin, near the village of Tarnawa-Colonia. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, but a crater about ten meters in diameter was formed at the site. The incident occurred during a massive Russian strike on Ukrainian territory. Polish military monitored the situation and increased airspace control measures. If the preliminary version is confirmed, this will be another case of airspace violation for the NATO member country. Such incidents invariably attract heightened attention as they directly affect regional security issues. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga previously stated that a Russian X-101 cruise missile entered Polish airspace during the nighttime attack. According to him, this incident shows that the consequences of Russian strikes extend far beyond the territory of Ukraine. Polish authorities emphasize that the investigation is ongoing, and final conclusions will be made after all necessary examinations are completed.
