The German Ministry of the Interior has denied reports that a Ukrainian cargo plane loaded with ammunition for Ukraine was near a drone with an explosive device discovered at Leipzig/Halle Airport, DW reports. According to the dpa agency, it was stated at a joint meeting of the Bundestag committees on defense and internal affairs that there were no weapons or other munitions on board the plane. Detlef Seif, the chairman of the Internal Affairs Committee, also rejected these reports. In a comment to Reuters, he emphasized that, according to the information he has, "the plane was not loaded with munitions or weapons." Maret Montavon, head of communications at Mitteldeutsche Flughafen, told the *Leipziger Volkszeitung* that the Antonov An-124 was not carrying any cargo at all during the incident. "The Antonov plane in question was empty at the time of the incident and had no cargo on board. This is confirmed by information we received from Antonov Logistics SALIS," Montavon stated. Meanwhile, the German Ministry of the Interior has not yet responded to an official request from journalists for a comment on the situation. Earlier, sources in the security forces reported that on Tuesday, a drone with an explosive device was found near the Ukrainian transport plane Antonov An-124 Condor. The explosives were neutralized by specialists from the Federal Police. The investigation into the incident at Leipzig Airport is ongoing. However, German authorities emphasize that the information about the Ukrainian plane transporting weapons is not true, despite earlier publications in the media.
