Unusual art objects have appeared not only in the archaeological park of Pompeii but also at six other historical sites in the region. Bright lobsters, created in Colbert's recognizable comic style, create a striking contrast with the ancient Roman ruins and turn a walk through the ancient city into an unusual journey between the past and the present. For the artist, the lobster is not a random character but his creative alter ego and main symbol that accompanies most of his works. The choice of this image for Pompeii has a historical explanation: images of lobsters and other sea creatures are often found in ancient mosaics and frescoes. Thus, the modern installation does not contradict the historical context but offers a new artistic interpretation of it. The exhibition organizers note that the display creates an unusual dialogue between ancient culture and contemporary pop art, inviting viewers to reflect on time, mythology, and the transformation of familiar symbols. Thanks to such an unusual combination of antiquity and vibrant modern art, the exhibition has already become one of the most discussed cultural attractions of the season.
