Over the past three years, more than 650 foreigners have learned the Latvian language as part of a project implemented by the Latvian Language Agency (LVA). This was reported to the LETA agency by the organization. The project was implemented from August 2023 to July 2026. During this time, Latvian language courses were organized throughout Latvia, teaching materials for adults were developed and improved, and methodological support was provided to teachers of Latvian as a foreign language. The LVA notes that the teaching materials created within the project are available on the portal **valoda.lv**. They can be used both in classes with a teacher and for self-study of the language. The Latvian Language Agency believes that the project has helped citizens of third countries not only improve their knowledge of the state language but also enhance their employment opportunities and successful integration into Latvian society.
