An incredible vigilance and high civic consciousness was demonstrated by a certain citizen who recently visited the Ikea store in Rīga. To his horror, he heard that the employees in the sales area were communicating with each other in Russian! This outrageous fact prompted the vigilant gentleman to immediately notify the social network X and he received a lively response from Latvia's chief de-Russifier, Rīga City Council deputy Liana Langa: "The 'Speak Latvian' campaign calls on Ikea Rīga to stop the Eastern Slavic bazaar in their store - you are not in Sverdlovsk! Shame!" Well, the vigilant citizen immediately sent a letter to the Swedish management of Ikea to find out whether these leaders would eradicate the Russian language from the communication among employees and when the Russian language would disappear from the store's website.
