"The Ministry strongly condemns this attack by Russia, during which, among other things, a food storage facility of the Lithuanian capital company Novus was destroyed, and emphasizes that attacks on civilians and civilian objects during international armed conflicts are prohibited by the Geneva Conventions, serious violations of which are considered war crimes," the statement reads. The note also points out that civilians in Ukraine are particularly suffering in frontline areas, where cases of so-called 'drone safari' against the local population are constantly recorded. One such incident was recorded in Kherson, when a drone injured a vegetable vendor. In this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds that international law does not provide a statute of limitations for accountability for war and other international crimes.
