The beginning of the new week in Latvia will be warm but unstable. During the day, the weather will begin to change: clouds will cover the country from the west, and then rain will follow. The western regions will feel the deterioration of the weather first. There, precipitation is expected during the day, while no rain is forecasted for the eastern part of the country. The daytime temperature will be +23…+26 degrees. It will be slightly cooler on the western coast of Kurzeme, where the air will warm up to +20…+22 degrees. In Riga, sunny and warm weather will prevail for most of the day. The air will warm up to +26 degrees, but in the afternoon, there will be more clouds, and rain is forecasted for the evening. A weak to moderate southern and southwestern wind will blow. In some places, gusts will strengthen to 9–14 meters per second. The change in weather is associated with the approach of a low-pressure trough and an atmospheric front from the west. These will bring clouds and precipitation first to Kurzeme and then to other regions of the country. This will mark the beginning of a more unstable period. Already on Tuesday, meteorologists expect cooler and rainier weather. Atmospheric pressure on Monday will gradually decrease — from 1019 hPa in Latgale to 1012 hPa in Kurzeme.
