Roadworks are continuing on the network of state roads in Latvia at 58 sites. Drivers are advised to plan their trips in advance, as travel times may significantly increase on some routes. The most serious restrictions are currently in place on the regional road Valdgale — Roja (P126) between Valdemārpils and Rūde. Here, traffic is regulated by up to five temporary traffic lights, and passing through the construction area can take about one hour. Additional difficulties are created by the harvest season. There has been an increase in agricultural machinery on the roads, which moves slower than regular traffic. In this regard, the company *Latvijas Valsts ceļi* urges drivers not to make risky overtakes, to maintain distance, and to consider possible delays. Among the main roads, the longest restrictions remain: * on the Daugavpils highway (A6) between Gospodari and Nīcgale — up to 40 minutes; * on the Liepāja highway (A9) between Blidene and Purvakrogs — about 20 minutes; * on the Daugavpils bypass road (A14) — up to 30 minutes. Serious delays are also expected on several regional roads. In addition to the Valdemārpils — Rūde section, extra time will be needed on the roads: * Tīnūži — Koknese (P80) — up to 45 minutes; * Gulbene — Balvi — Viļaka (P35) — about 40 minutes; * Priekuļi — Lithuania border (P114) — about 40 minutes; * Bauska — Aizkraukle (P87) — up to 30 minutes; * Cēsis — Vecpiebalga — Madona (P30) — about 25 minutes. On most of the construction sites, traffic is organized with the help of temporary traffic lights, speed limits are in effect from 30 to 70 km/h, and in some places, the roadway is narrowed.
