In the quarterfinals, the fifth-seeded Ostapenko and Hsu defeated American Ann Li and Danish Clara Tauson in two sets — 7:6 (7:4), 6:4. By reaching the semifinals, Ostapenko earned 390 ranking points in doubles. The next opponents for the Latvian-Taiwanese duo will be one of the strongest pairs in the tournament — the third-seeded Italian Sara Errani and American Nicole Melichar-Martinez. A victory in this match will allow Ostapenko to compete for the title. On their way to the semifinals, Ostapenko and Hsu confidently navigated the tournament.
