An unusual guest was spotted in Poznań, Poland — a royal python was crawling on the facade of a residential building near the balconies. Footage of the snake quickly spread across social media and caught the attention of users. The royal python is not a venomous snake and is considered one of the most docile species. In case of danger, it typically does not attempt to attack a person, but prefers to curl up tightly, thus protecting its head. Adult royal pythons usually reach about one meter in length, although some individuals can grow up to one and a half meters. The natural habitat of these snakes is in West and Central Africa. Therefore, the python found on the facade of the residential building in Poznań was likely a pet that somehow ended up outside. However, it remains unknown how exactly the exotic snake made its way onto the facade of the multi-story building and how it managed to get so close to the residents' balconies.
