Applicants can submit their applications in person at the chosen school or by sending an application signed with a secure electronic signature to the school's email address. To find out the current information about available places, the municipality encourages contacting the respective school. There are available places in 21 educational institutions - Riga 9th, 13th, 25th, 31st, 33rd, 51st, 71st, 80th, 88th, 92nd, 95th, 96th secondary schools, Riga Lithuanian, Rinjuga, Ukrainian secondary schools, Reinhold Schmelings Secondary School, Ostvalda Secondary School, in the music direction of Riga 45th Secondary School, in Riga Ziepniekkalns Secondary School, Riga Arkadia Secondary School, and Riga Imanta Secondary School. Available places are those for which there are no active applications in the electronic admission system. Candidates who meet the admission requirements of a specific school can apply for the available places. Admission to the 10th grades will continue as long as there are available places in the relevant educational programs. Currently, 3926 applicants have been accepted into the 10th grades of capital educational institutions, and 69 applicants have confirmed their invitations. Admission is also ongoing for vocational educational institutions, leading to a flow of applicants between educational institutions, which affects the progress of enrollment queues in Riga municipality schools. In total, invitations have been sent to 4944 unique applicants, or 93% of all applicants. It has already been reported that this year, 5332 students applied for admission to the 10th grades of Riga educational institutions. This year, it is planned to open 10th grades in 54 secondary schools in Riga, including six state gymnasiums, providing a total of up to 4500 places for students.
