"The Road Home" has become the first large-scale wall work by Valeria Sosova. She was assisted in creating the mural by artist Bikti, as well as members of the graffiti and street art collective PoN Crew (Paint On Nails). Sosova's sketch was transferred to the wall of the building on a large scale, resulting in a new piece of street art in Sarkandaugava. In her work, Valeria Sosova addresses the stories of the urban environment and their visual interpretation. In "The Road Home," the historical motifs of Sarkandaugava have transformed into a modern narrative about movement, a sense of belonging, and returning home. Such wall paintings make Sarkandaugava brighter and more interesting, while simultaneously drawing attention to the history and characteristics of the district. They allow both local residents and visitors to see the familiar urban environment in a new light. The mural was created as part of the Month of Street Art in Riga, timed to coincide with the celebration of the city's 825th anniversary.
