The activist of the campaign to close the M. Chekhov Theater in Latvia, writer and climber Juris Ulmanis, has once again made headlines on the social network X: "The Constitutional Court has recognized that the state should not support content in the Russian language in the media. The same should apply to culture! It’s time to stop spending millions of taxpayers' money on the Chekhov Theater and the 'Russian World.' Integration and unity of society in Latvia are possible ONLY on the basis of the state language!"
