According to Variety, the store will occupy two floors with a total area of over 21,000 square feet — about 1,950 square meters. Its interior will be inspired by Diagon Alley — the famous shopping street for wizards from J.K. Rowling's books. The creators promise to transform the space into not just a retail point, but practically a standalone attraction for fans of the saga. One of the main features will be a dragon towering over a recreated Gringotts bank. Additionally, visitors will see a life-size replica of the triple-decker Knight Bus, familiar from the books and films. The store will also feature its own version of the Leaky Cauldron pub, where guests can grab a bite and try the famous Butterbeer. Warner Bros. representative Karl Durrant called the opening of the new flagship an important event for the company. According to him, Oxford Street is the perfect location for a space dedicated to the magic and stories that have united fans around the world for many years. ## Exclusives for Harry Potter Fans The Oxford Street store will be the second official Harry Potter store in the UK. The first is located at King's Cross Station in London, near the famous Platform 9¾. However, the new flagship will be significantly larger and will offer products that cannot be purchased in other official stores. According to Variety, an exclusive wand dedicated to Diagon Alley, a collectible Funko Pop figure, and a piece from the design studio MinaLima, inspired by the Knight Bus and the magical shopping street, will be specially prepared for it. Thus, the new store could quickly become another attraction for Harry Potter fans in the British capital — alongside King's Cross and the Warner Bros. studio complex, where visitors are shown original sets, costumes, and props from the films. ## The Opening Coincides with a New Wave of Pottermania The timing for the launch of the massive store seems quite logical. Warner Bros. is preparing for a new wave of interest in the franchise, related to the television adaptation of J.K. Rowling's books for HBO. Moreover, the opening in November will allow the flagship to start operating in the midst of the pre-Christmas season — one of the most profitable periods for British retail. London remains one of the main centers of "Potter tourism": numerous shops selling robes, house scarves, wands, and other souvenirs operate throughout the city. However, not all of them are officially affiliated with Warner Bros. Interestingly, as noted by Variety, almost simultaneously with the announcement of the new flagship, news broke about the closure of one of the unofficial stores in London that sold Harry Potter merchandise.
