The Ministry of Culture of Latvia has registered four new coats of arms. The coat of arms of the Diky family, as well as the official symbols of the parishes of Kalnciems, Serene, and Pilskalne, have been added to the State Register. The coat of arms of the Diky family was registered first, on August 3. Its basis consists of a silver wedge on a blue background, adorned with three blue forget-me-not flowers. On both sides are silver half-dragons, and above the shield is depicted a knight's helmet and a dragonfly with silver wings. The motto of the coat of arms is "Only upwards." On August 5, the coat of arms of the Kalnciems parish received official status. On a green field, twelve golden roofing shingles are arranged in the shape of a diagonal cross. On August 7, the coats of arms of two parishes were registered at once. The coat of arms of Serene features a silver bush of the forest anemone with three flowers of natural color on a blue background, while the leaves of the plant form the shape of a yoke. On the same day, the coat of arms of Pilskalne was also approved. It is divided into two parts: the upper part features a branched chevron, while the lower part contains a silver core. The registration of a coat of arms signifies its official recognition by the state. After being entered into the register, these symbols can be used in accordance with established rules — in official documents, on municipal symbols, and in other legally prescribed cases. Thus, the State Register of Coats of Arms of Latvia has been enriched with four officially approved symbols.
