The Latvian National Council for Culture is a public advisory institution of the Ministry of Culture on cultural sector and cultural policy issues.
Valts Ernštreits, a well-known member of the Latvian Historical Lands Development Council and a representative of the Livonian community, was elected as the chairperson of the National Cultural Council, while Dace Jurka, who represents the Association of Latvian Cultural Centres was elected as the deputy chairperson of the council.
